Rally Overview

Introduction – Season 1 & Robin Hood Rally 2 (RHR2):

The Robin Hood Rally Season 1 began April of 2010 in Pocono, PA, traveled to Berlin, NH, and then traveled to Tuxedo, NY.  As a continuation of Season 1 we will race on a closed public road on October 21st - October 23rd in a Central East Coast location.

During the October 21st - October 23rd event we will be holding Open Tryouts for Season 2.  There will be a limited number of individuals considered for Participation in RHR2 and they will need to highlight their driving skills, be comfortable on camera, posses panache, have a reliable and sporty (does not need to be exotic) vehicle, and we will need to see that “spark” of humanity that makes people want to watch you.

We received over 1000 applications for the May event and 1400 applicants for Season 1 and the Open Tryouts are limited to 250 seats for the October event.

There will be three Cash Prizes for the Open Tryouts, based on the fastest weighted time:

CASH

First Prize - $6,000.00

Second Prize - $3,000.00

Third Prize - $1000.00

Fourth Prize – You guessed it, Steak Knives

Each of the events is filmed to produce a Reality TV series called The Robin Hood Rally that expects to air in Winter of 2012.

At this time, the Robin Hood Rally will air our Reality TV series to a National Audience in a format of 10 episodes, 1 hour each in length.  We are working with a number of Networks to pick the appropriate audience and schedule time that works for the Rally and Network.  We plan to maintain control of the content in order to focus it on cars and drivers vs. manufactured reality TV.

If you think that you have the skill and the courage, then this is your chance to show everyone on National TV. This is a competition for individuals that are interested in showing, not telling, everyone what they are made of behind the wheel. The Robin Hood Rally is run on closed public roads, instead of running on a “Race Track” where some have an advantage of significant experience.  When you run on closed public roads, it a true test of driver skill and guts.

Type of Roads:

To get a true sense of what we are planning, think about the Nürburgring, which is a motorsports race track around the village of Nurburg, Germany. The original track featured 17.56 miles of incredible curves, straights, drop offs, and more. The courses we have selected are similar in fashion and are focused on the skill of the driver.

Prizes Season 1

First Prize - a Ferrari F430
 Second Prize - a Porsche 911 Turbo
  Third Prize - a Corvette Z51 Convertible

Fourth Prize - your very own set of Steak Knives

Prizes for RHR2:

CASH

Winner - $200,000.00

Runner Up - $100,000.00

Third - $50,000.00

Fourth – my favorite steak knives

There will also be three Cash Prizes for the Open Tryouts, based on the fastest weighted time:

CASH

First Prize - $6,000.00

Second Prize - $3,000.00

Third Prize - $1000.00

Fourth Prize – You guessed it, Steak Knives

Vehicles:

You will be running the closed public roads with your own vehicle. A weighted average is applied to each vehicle, this allows you to run your Honda, Toyota, Mitsubishi, VW, Subaru, or Mazda and be competitive against higher horsepower cars such as BMWs, Corvettes, Porsches, and Ferraris.  This is meant on a stock basis, tuner cars are warmly welcomed, if you can drive.

If you have the skill and courage you can beat more expensive vehicles, this is the ultimate challenge to show a National Audience your skills.

All cars are weighed, with fuel and driver, prior to running each course. The weighted average applies to each vehicle based on an on honest Horsepower rating. All cars are run on a Dynamometer to confirm their actually horsepower.

The competition is based on a point scoring system that allows you to win by taking your BEST of FIVE times at five sites. All competitors will have equal opportunity to be featured on National TV dependent on how they do in each race. This Reality TV show is much more about driving and much less about what happens at the hotel bar in the evening.
